Pre-EEID 2020 workshop: Opportunities for collaborative projects on the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases

Welcome to the pre-EEID 2020/post-EEID2021 workshop registration page !

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

Following the cancellation of the EEID 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delighted to announce that the workshop 'Opportunities for collaborative projects on the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases' has been rescheduled to the 14-16 June 2021, just post-EEID 2021 and will still be held near Montpellier, at Hameau de l'Etoile. Please continue to check this webpage for details.

‘Opportunities for collaborative projects on the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases’,

14 - 16 June 2020, just post the EEID2021 meeting in Montpellier

The aim of this post-eeid workshop is to stimulate international interactions on 'hot topics' in Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases, and identify areas for future collaborative projects. It is expected to promote novel links between researchers in different countries and continents and lead to the submission of new projects. It is organised with the support of national research agencies with the aim to foster international collaboration on the Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases. Promotion of new collaborative projects will be in the form of organising ideas for large research grant applications, but also for early career scientists (PhD students, postdocs) looking for laboratories to apply for Post-doctoral research grants, or later career scientists identifying sabbatical locations. There will be a number of invited attendees who will present their experience of international collaborations and lead discussion groups.

The meeting will be held just post the Montpellier ‘EEID 2021’ at a residential centre, Le Hameau d’Etoile, near the village of St Martin de Londres in the foothills of the Cevennes mountains, 25 km north of Montpellier. Coaches will transport people to and from the venue (departure from Montpellier on the afternoon of Friday June 14th and return to Montpellier from Hameau de l’Etoile on June 16th in the afternoon). Please note attendees are expected to participate for the duration of the meeting.
